Team invites

Invite teammates to your Pro workspace so they can triage feedback and manage boards.

Team invites are included on Pro. Bring coworkers into the same workspace so they can triage posts, update statuses, and manage boards without sharing a single login. Each person uses their own SignalBoard account; access is scoped to the workspaces you invite them to.

Who needs an invite

Invites are for workspace members — founders, PMs, eng leads, support — anyone who should work in the admin dashboard. End users who vote and comment do not need invites: they verify email once on the public board and continue as voters. See Feature voting.

How to invite

  1. Upgrade to Pro if you are still on Free. Invites are a Pro feature — see Plans & billing.
  2. Open the workspace settings page from the dashboard.
  3. Create an invite for your teammate’s email (or copy an invite link, depending on the flow shown in settings).
  4. They accept the invite, sign up or log in, and join the workspace with their own account.
  5. Confirm they appear under team members and can open boards in that workspace.

What members can do

Once invited, teammates can typically:

  • View and triage posts (status, pin, categorize, merge duplicates)
  • Reply as staff on the public board
  • Edit roadmap and publish changelog entries
  • Help manage board settings within the workspace (exact controls depend on your plan and role setup)

They should not need the workspace owner’s password. Revoke access from workspace settings when someone leaves the company.

Private boards

With Pro you can also mark boards private so only workspace members see them. Useful for:

  • Internal roadmaps not ready for customers
  • Early feedback with a closed beta group
  • Staging a board before a public launch

Public boards stay shareable via stable URLs and optional custom domains. Private boards stay inside the team until you open them.

Limits and plans

Free workspaces are built for a solo operator or a single board. Pro unlocks team invites along with more boards, custom domain, logo, and hiding SignalBoard branding. Details and upgrade path: Plans & billing.
