Feature voting lets customers submit product ideas and upvote the ones they want most. Vote counts give your team a clear demand signal when deciding what to build next.
Guest voting (no passwords)
Visitors verify their email once with a magic link, then vote, comment, and submit on that device without creating a full account. You still capture who voted for follow-up and notifications.
Authors automatically get a vote on their own post, so new requests start at one vote.
Statuses
In the admin dashboard you move posts through statuses such as Open, Under review, Planned, In progress, Shipped, and Closed. Roadmap columns focus on Under review, Planned, In progress, and Shipped.
Notifications
When a feature moves or ships, voters and commenters can receive email updates automatically. Publishing a related changelog entry can notify the people who asked for it.
Duplicates
As someone types a new request, AI embeddings surface similar posts so they can vote instead of creating a duplicate. Admins merge manually when needed. See AI duplicate detection.
